2008-2009 Registration Check List for
Current BCA Families
1. Complete the items listed below and mail to: BCA
Registration, P.O. Box 1522, Franklin, TN 37065, or
place in the Tuition Payments box at BCA. Brentwood
Christian Academy will be accepting registrations from
existing families beginning February 14th. On
February 29th, we will begin accepting
applications from new families as well. The date your
registration and payment are received will be logged, and
this date will be used when placing students in each class
and/or on a waiting list.

not provide scholarships at the current time.

2. If you are registering a child in your family who did
not attend BCA this year, or if you plan to sign up a
current student for a subject (not class) he/she did
not take this year, you will be called by the Placement
Testing Facilitator to schedule placement testing, which is
required for the following: Math 1 or above (not Math is
Fun), Composition 2 or 3, English 7th or above,
or any foreign language level 2 or above. Placement test
fees of $25 per test are due the day of the test(s).
Placement testing will be administered on Thursdays at BCA
beginning March 6th.
3. After placement testing has been completed, you will be
notified within two weeks if your child is ineligible for
any of the classes for which he/she is registered. If
space in a particular class is still available, your
child may be able to retest before classes begin to achieve
placement at that time. Please let us know if you’d like us
to recommend a tutor.
4. Please note that current BCA students must receive a
passing grade in their current year class in order to take
the corresponding class at the next level. For example, a
student taking English 8th and/or Composition 3
must receive a passing grade in order to take English 9th
next year.
5. All Brentwood Christian Academy families must be members
of the MTHEA in order to satisfy the terms of our liability
insurance policy. A photocopy of your 2008-2009 membership
card must be provided to the academy before classes begin.
6. A photocopy of the documentation showing that you are
registered with an umbrella program or church-related school
for the 2008-2009 school year must be provided to the
academy before classes begin.
7. Please note that the Parent/Student Agreement, Parent
Volunteer Agreement, Photo Release Agreement and Medical
Information and Release Form will be available at later time
and must be completed, signed and turned in to BCA before
classes begin.

1. Tour Brentwood Christian Academy and get an admissions
packet. Call Mary Hearn at 292-6542 to schedule a tour.
Brentwood Christian Academy will be accepting registrations
from existing families beginning February 14th.

2. Complete the
Application for Enrollment
and mail to BCA Applications, P.O. Box
1522, Franklin, TN 37065. Include the $50
non-refundable application fee. Please make checks payable
to Brentwood Christian Academy or BCA. Two letters of
recommendation are required for all new students applying to
the academy - one from a current teacher or principal and
the other from a non-relative. Please complete the
information under “Recommendations” on the application so
BCA can request these directly. The date your
application and payment are received will be logged, and
this date will be used when placing students in each class
and/or on a waiting list.
3. You will be called promptly to schedule an interview.
Come prepared with any questions you need answered and your
schedule worksheet if you’d like advice on planning your
child’s schedule.
4. After your interview, the admissions board will consider
your application and you will be notified within two weeks
whether or not you have been accepted. You will be then be
called by the Placement Testing Facilitator to schedule
placement testing, which is required for the following:
Math 1 or above (not Math is Fun), Composition 2 or 3,
English 7th or above, and any foreign language
level 2 or above. Placement test fees of $25 per test are
due the day of the test(s). Placement testing will be
